In bulk packed towers, most annular contacts (not linear contacts) result in liquid film fluidity and mass transfer efficiency. Kelley's metal process rings are widely used in petroleum, chemical, chlor-alkali and environmental protection industries.
● Metal ladder ring is a new type of open hole packing. It is about half the diameter in height, has a tapered flanging on one side, a window opening in the ring wall, and a curved blade extending to the center of the ring. Due to the reduced height and tapered flanging structure, not only improve the gas-liquid distribution in the packing layer, but also increase the gas-liquid contact point, is conducive to liquid convergence and dispersion and continuous renewal of the membrane surface, so that the mass transfer is strengthened, the separation efficiency is greatly improved.
● Compared with Pall ring packing, the flux of metal step ring packing can be increased by 10-20%, the pressure can be reduced by 30-40%, and the separation efficiency can be improved to different degrees depending on the specific process. To date, more than 1000 stepped ring packed towers have been used in absorption, steam and distillation operations. Depending on the specific situation, step rings can be used for daelassie rings, pall rings, bubble cap plates, floating valve plates and sieve plates for high yield as well as energy saving purposes.
